Bruno Pupparo – Sound technician Michele constructs a film from one minute to the next, so many times it's him making decisions based on the specific situation. In other words he lets you know right off which characters, things, and situations interest him, and to get what he wants he's willing to do things that are rarely done in Italy. At other times he can be strangely distant, because he's really not convinced of what he's doing or of the quality of the actors, although this is one of his distinguishing characteristics.
With regard to the equipment and the specific techniques that I used for the film, this was one of the few times in my life that I had to improvise in that I realised that Michele didn't have a clear concept before filming; then while shooting and working he becomes very clear. He has this amazing ability to enthral you, to convey his strength, so that somehow we're all enthusiastic about following him, about following what can be intuitions that come to him on the spot, sudden changes made a minute before shooting or actually while shooting.
