Anna Novion – Director
I'm Anna Novion, the director of this film. I work a lot with everyday matters, since the characters of this film discover obscure things in their everyday lives, matters which they didn't know earlier. Step by step they start to understand what they see in each other and actually are able to live together. It's about what we say to each other – and what we don't say, what we're hiding, what we're doing – and what not. Later when things come up to the light, the persons also will see who they really are. I base my ideas on details of ordinary life – which define each characters personality in this film.
During production I’ve really found this island, Orust. I became positively astonished and fallen entirely in love with this beautiful landscape. Even if I do know Sweden quite well, it was surprising to find big contrasts in the landscape: how it can be so peaceful, beautiful and exotic at the same time.
