It is very challenging to make a fantasy film in Finland, and with a budget like this we must make good use of our imaginations. I think the line directors have found some excellent solutions, and I believe that this will turn out to be a very strong, impressive film with a drive. We can well expect some 200.000 viewers, 300.000 if we're lucky.
The only way the Finnish films can compete in the international market is through their originality, and the advantages of this film lay precisely in this - we have the Finnish mythology and traditional values that will nevertheless give people all over the world a chance to similarize themselves with. This is why I believe there are excellent distributing possibilities for this film.
